Raise the BeneFit Bar

When only something chewy and flavorful will keep your hand out of the cookie jar, having a good Benefit® Bar recipe can make the difference between staying the course or going off track.

Benefit Bars may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you’re thinking about creating recipes with your HMR foods. But don’t underestimate them - while it is true that recipes using BeneFit Bars can be super simple and totally uncomplicated - they satisfy a certain craving that no other HMR sweet treat can.

A bar is good all by itself, but, when you add fruit it takes it to a whole other level. These recipes came about as a result of wanting to have a bar and make it even more filling and satisfying.

Pineapple Upside Down Bar

1 HMR Honey Graham BeneFit Bar
3 Pineapple rings (packed in their own juice)
2 Tbsp sugar-free maple syrup

Place pineapple rings in the bottom of a small dish and microwave for 30-60 seconds. Cut up bar. Drizzle warm fruit with syrup and top with bar. Flip upside down onto a plate and drizzle with remaining syrup. Top it with a cherry if you like!

Or, how about an alternative to fruit cobbler, Apple-Berry Crumble:

The question isn’t, “Are you going to try one of these recipes?” The question is, “Which one will you try FIRST?!”

@sailGirl - I imagine you could use the Blueberry Bars and crumble them over the top of some warm berries or chopped apples.

How do people use the blueberry bar? Any good recipes anyone?

Linda, Pampered Chef sells a microwave chip maker, I sampled some at a party awhile ago and they are very good. You can do reg. potato, sweet potato, apples and add seasoning if you wish, no oil needed. Although the apples are like dehydrated fruit, no bulk to fill you up and the sugar is concentrated in dried fruits.

I make home made potato chips, using a super thin slicer and then microwaving them on a microwave chip maker. They are delicious and crspy. I like them plain the best, but you can put salt or seasoning on them too,

I would really like HMR to make something crunchy! I really miss potato chips and crackers. Would it be possible to do this?
