Oh, I agree. I really like Pumpkin recipes
Look in the upper right corner of this page - you'll see a 'Search HMRdiet' box. Type 'Pumpkin' in and you'll see all the recipes that contain Pumpkin (plus blogs et al).
I looked a moment ago, and there are about 5. Hope you'll get more in this thread.
Pumpkin, yummmmm

Try this CRUSTLESS PUMPKIN PIE.
1 Can Pumpkin + 1 HMR Cereal + 4 Tbsp Splenda + some Vanilla Extract + a couple of shakes of Cinnamon + a little Nutmeg. I spread the mixture in a 6-inch square glass baking dish. Sprayed the top and baked uncovered at 350F for 30 minutes.
Once it gets cooled to room temperature you can cut it into pieces, pick it up and eat just like cold pumpkin pie. Terrific!!

Phase 2 Pumpkin Spice Latte
2 cup Skim Milk*
2 tsp canned pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling! Only ingredient should be pumpkin)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 cup strong/bold coffee
optional:
fat free whipped cream
dash cinnamon
In small pot heat milk on medium/high and add vanilla extract, pumpkin, pumpkin spice, and coffee and stir. Heat until steaming then use whisk or hand blender to froth the mixture.
Pour into mug and top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon.
Makes 3 8oz servings, 105 calories per serving (compared to Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte at 216 calories... and that's with nonfat milk and no whipped cream!)
*I'm willing to bet making an HMR vanilla shake instead of milk would produce an equally delicious drink!

There's a nice pumpkin pie cheesecake recipe on here, but I'm on Decision Free and can't use the pumpkin puree. Without using that, what would the amounts of ingredients I could use to imitate the taste? It would be pumpkin pie spice and the SF-FF cheesecake pudding that I'd be putting with a vanilla shake in a blender. I'm not a cook and can't even guess at substituting! Thanks!

Hi bwhughes:
I just looked at the pumpkin pie cheesecake shake recipe, and I think if you just omitted the 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, and kept the 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice, it would taste pretty good.
Give it a try and make adjustments as needed. If you come up with a good recipe, please post is to our recipes section. I bet there are other decision free folks who would appreciate it!

Hey,
I like making a pumpkin pudding which is the 70+ vanilla with butterscotch sf/ff pudding, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin puree mixed together - if you're on phase 2 it's great with a dollop of cool whip too. sometimes I sprinkle the dry multigrain cereal on top for texture and more of a "crisp" type dessert. good luck!

I submitted a receipe that was added to the site today that I created when I was still on Decision Free. It is under the shakes category. I found that it tasted very much like the filling of a pumpkin pie, minus the crust, of course. It is completely in the box for Decision Free.
I even shared some with some coworkers last winter. It got rave reviews from everyone, even though they knew it was healthy.

Bwhughes,
Polar currently has some seasonal sparkling water flavors out. Cinnamon, candy cane, but egg nog and pumpkin are my favorite. I substitute the soda for the water, add a dash of pumpkin pie spice....tastes pretty darn close to the real thing!
I find the polar flavors at star market and stop and shop around Boston!
