If you are on the Healthy Solutions Diet (shakes, entrees, and 5 servings of vegetables-fruits), salt can be used in moderation. Sometimes lightly sprinkling salt over cooked vegetables (as opposed to adding it to the cooking water) can make food taste 'salty' without adding any more salt than usual.

I need to mention that too much salt can lead to water retention, which looks like no weight loss on the scale.

There was another forum thread about this recently that might be worth looking at: http://www.hmrdiet.com/Succeed/Forum/Topic/863

Hope that helps.

Well, it is inevitable to have cravings and though I am not a big fan of salt and that goes with all the salty food that it gets incorporated to, I have my usual days when I would really like something to pamper my sweet tooth.

It isn't hard for me though as I have come up with a way to do just that. I allow myself to binge at times, though that is just something I call eating what I am not supposed to, but take it back for the following days for whatever way I would see fit.
