I have been diagnosed with acid reflux and have been on medication for about 18 months. The medication is strong and the doctor wants me to work harder on reducing the reflux naturally and getting of the medication. I am to reduce and eventually remove anything with caffine, citric acid and of course tomatoes. Has anyone been working the diet with this type of issue?

I am very curious what info you have gotten from your Dr. I have horrible heartburn/reflux and watch ingredient lists for Citric Acid and limit my tomato based products also.

my doctor has recommended no citrus, no tomato, and no caffeine...
that is why I was looking for help...
I am going to start with a reduction in each category. I know I drink too much coffee, so I can work on that. I only order 1 chocolate shake per order, so I can reduce that.
I am going to try to limit my tomato and citrus meals to one per day.
Going forward, I will be studying the ingredients and will stop ordering products that have citrus or tomato in the top 5 ingredients.
I will keep you posted
