Registering on the site is not required. However, in order to share or add content to the site, you must have a user account and be signed in.

On the top of any page, you will see the option to "Sign Up". Click on “Sign Up” and you will be asked to enter some information to create an account. If you would like additional support, please contact us.

Yes, you can use any appropriate picture that you like. You may also choose from a list of avatars available on the site.

You can use any individual picture of yourself for your profile, provided it is not an inappropriate image.

Yes. You can do so by signing in and going to the “My Profile” link in the upper right section of the screen to view or change your image.

The site does not allow you to edit a profile picture. However, you can upload a new image as often as you like. To crop an image click on "upload image". You will see a cropping tool that allows you to crop the picture. Then click on "set image" to save the changes.

Your email address is required to allow us to communicate with you regarding general issues related to your account, or our site. While it is not required, providing us with your phone number is another way for us to communicate with you.

Knowing your gender allows for better searching and sorting capabilities on our site.

We require your zip code in order to be able to display your city and state, if you choose that option in your display preferences.

My Profile - Account Info

If you forget your password, it will need to be reset. From the login screen, click on the "Forgot your password?" hyperlink. You will be prompted to enter the email address that is associated with your account. Once you click "Reset Password," an email will be sent to you with further instructions on how to reset your password.

You cannot change your display name after your account has been created.

My Profile - Personal Info

Your weight loss is an optional field. However, if you choose to submit a success story, this is a required field.

Congratulations on your weight loss! Filling out your weight loss is optional; however, you should only indicate how much of your total weight loss was lost with HMR products and programs.

If you have a published Success Story, you can access your weight loss by clicking on "My Profile" and then the "Success Story" tab. Make the change to your weight loss here and resubmit your Success Story to be approved.

My Profile - Preferences

RSS (most commonly expanded as Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, forum entries, podcasts, and video—in a standardized format.

The "My Feed" link in your Preferences tab is a hyperlink to information that an RSS Feed reader would need to get subscription information and make it viewable in a variety of different mediums.

Each RSS feed reader works differently. However, most RSS feed readers allow you to cut and paste a subscription URL into the reader to set up a feed. By clicking on the link next to “My Feed,” you can cut and paste your subscription information into any reader you like.

The HMR Forum is an area where HMRdiet community site members can go to discuss various topics related to health management.

Subscribing to a Forum category or thread will allow you to be updated on new posts within a category or new responses to a thread.

The Forum settings allow you to customize the way that forum categories and threads appear. It also allows you to define a signature for any forum discussions that you are involved in.

The Forum signature is similar to an email signature. It will appear at the end of any Forum responses that you create. Forum signatures are optional.

The HMR Blog is an area where HMRdiet community members can respond to health management-related topics created by HMR staff.

Subscribing to a blog category will allow you to be updated on new posts within a blog category.

The HMR podcasts are digital media episodes related to health management that are released on a regular basis.

Subscribing to a podcast will allow you to be notified whenever new podcasts are available.

Following a thread or "topic" via RSS or email allows you to be notified whenever a forum user has responded to a thread you are following. How you choose to follow via RSS or email determines how you will be notified. If you chose RSS, you will be notified through your RSS reader; if you chose email, you will receive an email notifying you that there has been a response to the thread.

Threads are an individual "topic" within a category. To get updates whenever someone responds to a thread or "topic" you can subscribe to the individual thread and you will be notified any time someone responds.

You can access your subscriptions by clicking on "My Profile" and then the "Preferences" tab. By clicking on the red circled dash to the right of the thread, you can remove the thread from your subscriptions.

My Profile - Success Story Submittal

To submit a success story, click on the Inspire tab, then click on the "share your story" button.

By creating or updating a success story, you will have the option to upload a video. You will need to complete all the required fields of a success story and you can upload a video to support the story.

You will need both a before and after picture in order to submit a success story.

My Profile - Success Story Editing

No. A success story is optional.

You can edit your Success Story by clicking on "My Profile" and then clicking on the "Success Story" tab. If you have not previously submitted a story, you will be prompted to create one.

To edit a success story, click on "My Profile" and then click the "Success Story" tab. Make the necessary edits to your success story and click the "Preview & Submit" button to submit your updated story for approval.

You are being reminded that you started a success story but have not yet submitted it for publication. You can choose to complete it now or at a later date.

To edit your story from the preview window, click on the "Make Edits" link. This will take you back to the success story edit page where you can make changes and submit again.

You can delete your success story by clicking on "My Profile" and then clicking on the "Success Story" tab. Once you are on the Success Story tab, you can click "delete story" to remove your success story.

To upload a video for a success story, click on "My Profile" and then click on the "Success Story" tab, upload your video under "#2, Your Weight Loss Story". Click the browse button to find the video you want.

If you choose to remove a video from an existing success story, you can click on the "Remove" button. Removing a video does not require you to resubmit the story.

HMR does not approve every success story for viewing within the Inspire section of the site. There are a few reasons why your story may not appear in the Inspire section:
- Your success story is currently being reviewed
- Your success story is only in your public profile
- Your success story has been denied
Use the “Contact Us” form to request more information about your success story.

To maintain a high level of quality and consistency, HMR reviews all success stories before they are approved. We try to review all success stories within a week.
