Registration and User-Generated Content
Generally, you may use this website without providing any personal information. In order to submit content in certain online areas on our website such as Forums, Blogs, Success Stories, Recipes, and Out & About, you must become a registered user. To register, you will be asked to provide us with information (including personally identifiable information) such as name, zip code, and email address.
Uses of Information
Currently, we use information about you (including personally identifiable information) as follows:
- To post your user-generated content (based on the privacy settings you select) and correspond with users submitting content (e.g., Success Stories and Out & About features).
- To answer questions and inquiries about the website.
- To provide communications regarding service-related announcements and “contact us” inquiries as described in Communications from the Website, below.
- To enhance technical support, including third parties who analyze website traffic using information about users.
- To improve the quality of the website and your experience as a user, including changes that we think you may want to see.
- To email your “friends” as described below if you decide to share website content with a friend (Information Sharing).
We also reserve the right to use information you provide to send you (and if you choose, your friends as described below) information about HMR and the fields of wellness and weight management, including marketing and other promotional information, by email or possibly other means of communication. If we begin to use emails for these additional purposes, we will provide an opt out mechanism for same.
To the extent that you provide us with personally identifiable information from your weight-loss or similar experiences, we may also use such information to further develop HMR programs and products. We may also use such data in aggregate form in publications about HMR and to evaluate the efficacy of our weight-loss programs and system. Any such use of this data will not include disclosure of personally identifiable information about you or anyone that provides such data about themselves and only nonidentifying group or other aggregate information will be published or otherwise disclosed.
Unless otherwise provided, HMR Weight Management Services Corp. (HMR) is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We do not sell your information to anyone.
Share with a Friend
Through our referral tools for informing a friend about our website, we will automatically send your friend a one-time email containing the information you request to be sent. If you elect to use these referral tools, we will gain access to certain personally identifiable information about your friend which you have provided, such as your friend’s email address.
Selection of Privacy Settings
It is your sole responsibility to manage your privacy settings on our website. You have the ability to use your full name or display name throughout the site and this can be managed in the Account Info tab within your profile. You may also change your privacy settings as part of creating a new Success Story and you should know that this will impact your privacy settings globally throughout the site. If you change your privacy settings it will affect all of the content currently on the site; however, if content has been shared outside the HMRdiet site (such as on other social media sites) we do not control how information appears on those sites and changes in your privacy settings may not be applied to those sites.
We use software consultants and website hosting companies to help us operate this website and deliver goods and services to you. We may use other service providers for similar purposes, as needed, from time to time. In rendering these services, these service providers will or may have access to some or all personally identifiable information that you provide through this website. These service providers are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
Communications from the Website
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance or if we have a question about your user-generated content, we might send you an email.
There is no option to opt out of these service-related communications.

If you choose to make an inquiry by using our “Contact Us” form, we may contact you by email or telephone. If your email inquiry is directed to, or otherwise appears to be intended for, one of our company or licensed HMR Programs, we will forward the email inquiry to such program.
Apart from responding to your ”Contact Us” form submission, we may communicate with you from time to time in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your submissions. We will communicate with you by email or telephone, as we determine what best suits the situation.

In the event HMR goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via notice on our website for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
