I'm in Phase 2 and have been eating 30to35 MR's for 8 weeks. How do I lower this amount to 14 MR's to maintain without gaining?

You must have been put up to this by my "health educator...".... lol...

Mix fruits in with your protein shakes and wean yourself from the entrees ... each more low calorie per oz vegetables, lean proteins, and go for volume. Vegetable-based soups will give you the volume without hunger. I should be doing more of this myself...

Susan, I would take it very slowly....each week, try a new lean protein and/or whole grain while keeping your meal replacements high. There is no reason to lower the amount of MR's you're doing if you're enjoying them too. they're healthy, high in nutrition, filling and delicious! 14 is not a magic number, in fact for many people it's just a jumping off point - and many people have to do much more than 14 per week to maintain their weight. Phase 2 is all about that exploration and discovery as to which other foods you can add into your box without gaining. The scale will be your guide, good luck!

Just speaking for myself here, I'm keeping about 100 pounds off and use 40+ MR's a week every week. I suppose if I moved to Mars and couldn't get HMR MR's, I'd have to shift to Vegetables, with measured amounts of Rice and Whole Grains (assuming they had that stuff on mars )

Hi Susan, I agree with Jenny...take it slow. The point of phase 2 is to find your own "personal triple imperative".
It will be different for each person, depending on environment, and skills with all of the imperatives.
A good source for "other" recipes, is the Serving You Well cookbook. If you use these as written (keeping the calories low).
I've been doing this work for 11 years, and it the very unusual person who can keep off significant weight, with just 14 MR.
